First Week of Practice

With one full week of practice in the books, I can finally say the tennis season has begun! We've been making the most out of the gym at Westside Church, spending our time establishing base conditioning for the weeks ahead. In some ways the cold, snowy weather has helped us. We were able to devote a full week to tennis conditioning where the boys learned how to squat, bend, push, pull, sprint, jump, and shuffle. The boys also practiced their reaction volleys in a controlled setting. All this helps establish a solid foundation to build on once on the courts swinging the racquets. So thanks, snow, for the awesome week inside! Now we're ready fo some sunshine (that's coming, right?!)
